Ever since birth The MorningStar has been a simple man, a man of the land. Shortly after his birth in 1918, MorningStar's father was called away to the battlefields of France to fight the Germans. A year later he returned minus a leg, but filled with a new purpose. After seeing the destruction of crop producing fields all throughout Europe, MorningStar's father realized that for any nation to thrive, crops were vital. Using all his savings he purchashed 76 acres of land in the rural Idaho county of Minidoka and starting growing potatoes. Unfortunately for him, the Potato industry was at that time controlled by a handful of powerfull corporations and thus MorningStar's father had a hard time breaking into the market. This did not keep him from trying, and his dogged determination and love of the land would make a huge impact on MorningStar.
After Graduating Minidoka High School (home of the Fighting Spuds) MoningStar was rewarded with a trip to Australia. It was this ill fated trip that would later make him the millionaire he is today. On the road from Alice Springs to Uluru, the truck transporting MorningStar and his party broke down. With provisions to last them only six hours, the group was desperate. In the late afternoon, after hours in the baking sun they came across a herd of Emus. Desperate for water, they cut off three from the herd and slaughtered them. It was only then that they realized that despite their appearance, emu are not in fact a good source of water. However, the stream that the emu were drinking from was, and the group soon found itself no longer thirsty but quite hungry. MorningStar proposed cooking the emu and eating them. Most of the group did not think this was a good idea, but finding no alternative other than canabalism, they did just that. The emu, they found, was delicious.
Upon his return to Idaho, MorningStar knew what his purpose in life was: raising emu for food. At the time it was a radical idea. Nobody knew anything about the birds, or if there was a market for them. But, with the same dogged determination his father showed in the Potato wars of the early 1920's, MorningStar sent to Australia for fifteen Emu.
After 10 years time, and the dark days of the early forties, MorningStar soon found his Emu farm booming. By 1952 the intial fifteen emu had turned into 7500. With orders coming in from all over the country, MorningStar was soon a very rich man. Like the powerful potato monopolies of his father's day, MorningStar soon quashed all his competition. His biggest foe, Lenny "two nose" McGill (who was the mastermind behind the Great Emu Blight of Northen Idaho, a disease that killed off a quarter of MorningStar's crop) woke up one day with an unfortunate headless emu as a bedpartner (a move that is believed to have inspired the now famous scene in Mario Puzo's Godfather).
In 1961 MorningStar found himself the head of a multinational emu empire, and sitting on top of a multi million dollar bank account. He decided to retire from the emu business and pursue his ultimate dream: the creation of an expansion Football team; the Des Moines Emus. During the pursuit of this goal, MorningStar found himself interacting with fellow football fan and emu connoisseur: Guatemalen Textile mogul stan. The two found that they alos shared an interest in internet gaming, and became founding members of the internet clan the Rabid Lilliputians.
Now in his late 80's, MorningStar splits his time between internet gaming, lobbying for his football team, and spending time with his pet emus, Phillip, Randolf, and Sanchez.
